Lam Harrison
Harrison is a classically trained pianist, flutist, teacher, accompanist, and chamber musician with over 10 years of experience. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Monash University and has completed professional development through the Victorian Music Teachers Association. Passionate about music-making, Harrison focuses on creating an engaging atmosphere where students can develop their musical potential across classical and contemporary piano, flute, and music theory. He prepares students for AMEB exams and emphasizes a holistic approach to music, integrating its mathematical, theoretical, physical, and emotional aspects.
Harrison is a classically trained pianist, flutist, teacher, accompanist, and chamber musician with over 10 years teaching experience. He obtained his Bachelor of Music (Classical Piano) at Monash University under guidance of Darryl Coote. Harrison has also completed professional development masterclasses through the Victorian Music Teachers Association, and able to prepare students to AMEB exams at the intermediate and advanced levels.
Harrison loves to share his passion of “music-making” and creating an imaginative and lyrical narrative through using music not just as sound, but as a language. He enjoys creating a fun and engaging atmosphere to challenge and inspire students to reach their full potential as musicians, as well as create a holistic experience of combining all the mathematical, theoretical, physical, mental, emotional and historical aspects of music-making.
Harrison currently teaches Classical and Contemporary piano, Flute and Music Theory.
