Our flute teachers are passionate and dedicated to your success. We currently have two flute teachers, each with different teaching styles. While we follow a curriculum, all lessons are tailored to help you achieve your goals. Everyone learns differently, so making sure you get a teacher that resonates with your learning style is incredibly important. FLUTE LESSONS MELBOURNE CURRICULUM
We offer a complete music learning curriculum based on the four main streams of music education. These are classical grading, leisure grading, preparation and maintenance for professional playing, and leisure only. Depending on the student's goals we will recommend a specific curriculum, then build on that, tailoring our lessons to meet your needs.
LEARN THE WAY YOU WANT TO
We offer several lesson formats, allowing you to find the way you learn best, and get lessons that work well for you. We have options for private lessons, group lessons, and online lessons (both private and group). Lessons are scheduled at the same time and day on a weekly basis. Trial lessons are available for each lesson type, with free trial lessons available for already running group sessions. We also organise student performances several times a year to let you see their progress in a formal setting.

Our Flute Teachers

Molly Jenkins
Molly is an experienced educator who is passionate about using music as a tool to enhance an individual's overall lifestyle and wellbeing. Molly prides herself on being patient, accommodating and finding ways to create curious and motivated learners through unlocking each student's own individual learning styles.
Molly is currently working towards her Honours qualification at the University of Melbourne having already completed her Bachelor of Music majoring in flute performance.
Her approach to flute teaching focuses on building a strong technical foundation from the beginning, with an emphasis on ensuring her students have confidence in their ability to improve their tone quality, musicality and technical proficiency, but most importantly an awareness of how their body and mind (including posture, breathing and positive affirmations) can transform their development as a musician.
Molly teaches Flute to the advanced and Voice and Ukulele to the beginner level.
Alex Medvid
Alex was born in a very musical city Odessa. He started to learn music at the age of 5 being inspired by his father who was a talented musician and his first music teacher.
Alex began learning Clarinet at the age of 9 in a special military music school in Moscow. He continued his music education at the Moscow Conservatory.
Alex graduated from Moscow Conservatory as a woodwind (saxophone, clarinet and flute) teacher, performer and a Conductor of symphony orchestra. His other major instrument at Moscow Conservatorium was Piano.
Alex's working experience includes Conducting of symphony Orchestra, Performing with Band at different parts of the world, teaching privately woodwind and piano students for over 20 years.
Alex's passion is pop, jazz, rock, blues as well as classical music.
Alex enjoys teaching students of all ages.
His main aim is to make each lesson comfortable and fun for the students and at the same time to teach students from basic to advanced music skills such as correct use of a chosen instrument in conjunction with keeping posture naturally relaxed during playing, reading music notation, general knowledges and aural skills.
Alex teaches for leisure as well as for AMEB exams if requested.

CASEY'S HISTORY
Casey studied at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the great Don Burrows AO MBE. He graduated in Jazz Studies in 1985. From 1985 to 2004 Casey worked full time in Sydney's Musical Theatre, on shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Les Miserables, Chicago and many others. Having emigrated to the UK in 2004 Casey has been constantly busy, performing as a Jazz soloist in and around Shropshire, Wales, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London and pretty much the length & breadth of the UK. Casey also runs a variety of bands, from Straight Ahead Jazz, Latin, Be Bop.. to Funk.
