Alla’s Music Studio is a warm, welcoming music school in Bentleigh East, Melbourne. Since opening in 2012, we’ve supported more than 5,000 students and delivered over 20,000 lessons across piano, guitar, drums, violin, voice, saxophone and many more instruments. Founded by Alla Guberman, the studio has grown into a vibrant school with 10 teaching rooms, 22 teachers, and over 550 students attending weekly. The studio offers lessons in piano, guitar, voice, and other instruments, catering to all ages and skill levels.
Known for its personalised approach, Alla’s Music Studio prioritises student goals, clear communication, and flexible scheduling. The team fosters long-term relationships built on trust, professionalism, and a love for music.

Our Director and Founder: Alla Guberman

Our Director and Founder, Alla Guberman, is an accomplished performer and educator. She holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours and a Master of Music (Piano Performance) from Monash University, including the Joan Earle Prize for excellence in Piano Studies (Honours) and a High Distinction for Piano Performance in her Master’s. Alla is a fully accredited member of the VMTA and brings the richness of the Russian and French piano traditions to her teaching. Her vision has grown the studio from a single room to a thriving school with a team of carefully selected teachers who share a love of music and a commitment to student success.

The Director and Founder of the studio is Alla Guberman. Alla is an accomplished performer and music teacher, having obtained her Bachelor of Music with Honours and Master of Music (piano performance) from Monash University, Melbourne. Alla is fully accredited member of VMTA.
Alla was born in Russia. At the age of 9 she discovered her passion for music and started piano lessons. Alla continued to follow her love for the piano and in 1986 she completed her Diploma at the College of Music in Russia.
Alla migrated to Australia in 1992, and in 1999 she furthered her piano studies at Monash University in Melbourne. Under the guidance of Tamara Smolyar (a continuer of traditional Russian piano school) and the team of pianists - Max Cooke, Robert Chamberlain and Darryl Coote (continuers of French piano school), she completed her Bachelor of Music with Honours in 2002. Alla's exceptional performance and demonstrated skill saw her awarded with the 2002 Joan Earle Prize for excellence in Piano Studies at Honours level.
In 2005 Alla graduated with a Masters in Music (piano performance) from Monash University. She was awarded a High Distinction for Piano Performance as part of her Master's degree.
