Music and math are highly intertwined. By understanding beat, rhythm, and scales, children are learning how to divide, create fractions, and recognize patterns. It seems that music wires a child's brain to help better understand other areas of math, says Lynn Kleiner, founder of Music Rhapsody.Certain instruments, such as percussion, help children develop coordination and motor skills; they require movement of the hands, arms, and feet. This type of instrument is great for high-energy kids. String and keyboard instruments, like the violin and piano, demand different actions from your right and left hands simultaneously. "It's like patting your head and rubbing your belly at the same time," says Kristen Regester, Early Childhood Program Manager.
This year was very successful for singing students at Alla's Music studio. Alla's Music studio student Meirav Berger took first prise in the singing Eistedfod by the Bay competition and student Leah Stange got Honourable mention in the same section. Our student’s singing duet Leah Stange and Jessica Brown came second in their duet section in the same competition. It’s a competitive competition, so they did amazing! Thank you to dedication of their singing teacher Melissa Langford!
Alla's Music Studio congratulate all students who passed their AMEB exam in Piano, violin, voice and guitar.
There were a number of students pass with flying colours, including 3 High Distinction results so we would like to personally acknowledge and celebrate the hard work of these students. Pre-schoolers played in a band and on a keyboard all by memory. Violin group "Arco" was amazing! We have enjoyed of our singing performers as well as drums, woodwinds, violin and guitar. Thank you our teachers for preparation and participation in the students performances!”
